18' x 14' Outdoor LED Stadium Display

This is a 252-square-foot outdoor LED video board built around 3 x 4 ft die-cast aluminium cabinets in P9.52mm. It is the size most high school and small-college programs install for football, soccer and baseball fields — big enough to show live video and sponsor ads, compact enough to mount on a standard pole or structural frame.

The P9.52mm pixel pitch is chosen because the closest spectator is typically 50 feet or farther from the board. At that distance, individual pixels blend naturally and the screen reads as a continuous image. Brightness is 10,500 nits with golden wire LEDs, which keeps the picture legible in afternoon sun without washing out. The refresh rate runs at 3,000 Hz, so phone recordings and broadcast cameras pick up a clean image without flicker.

What You Can Show on Game Day

During a game, the display runs live camera feed, instant replays, scores, quarter clock, downs and yardage, player stats and sponsor messages. Between games, it rotates advertising for local businesses, team announcements and venue information. The controller (Colorlight or Novastar) comes with an automatic light sensor that steps brightness down at night — reducing power draw and avoiding light-complaints from neighbours.

Cabinet and Build

Each 3 x 4 ft cabinet weighs 70 lbs. The frame is die-cast aluminium with a black anti-glare face. Modules come out from the front, so maintenance crews work from a lift or platform in front of the screen — no rear access walkway required. The common-cathode design lowers power draw by about 40% compared with conventional modules, and the aluminium housing acts as a heat sink, keeping junction temperatures down over years of outdoor use.

Who Installs It

We supply the panels, controller, power distribution boxes, spare receiving cards and 5% spare modules, shipped DDP to your site. Your local sign company, structural contractor or electrical crew handles the pole, footing and power connection. We provide dimension drawings, electrical requirements and technical support during install.
